Hawks Boiled Peanuts was established in December 1995 by the Hawks family. Paul and Marlene wanted to make a boiled peanut that was consistent with southern culture and would become a southern staple, like church and Sunday afternoon BBQs.
Marlene and Paul spent months working on the right spice mixtures, soaking, and cooling times. After all the hard work, recipes and time frames were agreed upon, Hawks Boiled Peanuts was born and started serving the Tampa area with 5 lb. bags of delicious boiled peanuts.
Now, almost 20 years later, Paul comes in for special projects but has left the day-to-day operations of the company to Marlene and their son, Matthew.
